Goodnight Blondie

I came back from the vet without my blondie. I had decided that it was time to let her go, to end her suffering. Her conditioned worsened. Her tumor got really big, she cant poop even when i gave her laxatives and even an enema. Her eyes had those thick and sticky discharge and she has been blind for a few years now. She refuses to eat and was so weak she cant stand long enough. She mightve been deaf too coz she couldnt hear us calling. I guess it was best for her to cross the rainbow bridge. It was hard not to cry while holding her when the vet was injecting her with a purple liquid. In a few seconds she was gone. Forever. I will miss her. No longer will she sleep on her bed beside my door. No longer will my mom give her baths. We will all miss her.

She wasnt always my dog. She was given to us as a puppy in 1996 by my sister in law. She was my sister lyn's dog. She was a cute puppy. My mom would talk to her everyday. When my sister got married in 99 she became my mom's dog. But when my eldest sister died, blondie started following me and became mine. She would jump around whenever i came home. She's so much fun and always happy. She went blind in 2004 coz of cataracts. But she's still the same blondie, so full of energy and so full of life! She's a smart one, she knows where to go potty even when she's blind! She'd know it was me. She specially loves it whenever i bring her to tagaytay. She likes walking on the grass fields.

She is a loyal friend. I shall miss her jumping excitedly, i shall miss her coarse barking voice, i shall miss her long hair, i shall miss her moist cute black nose. i shall miss her deeply. Goodnight my friend may you sleep peacefully.

Today i came back from the vet with only her collar to remember her by.
